The Medihoney Apinate Dressing blends antibacterial manuka honey with a calcium alginate fabric to provide an efficient antibacterial barrier dressing. The osmotic action aids the natural cleansing process by pulling undesirable materials into the dressing, resulting in optimal healing conditions.

The calcium alginate dressing is infused with antibacterial leptospermum (manuka) honey to form a non-adherent and sterile dressing, which effectively works to preserve fragile tissue. Depending on the exudate, it can remain in place for up to seven days.
