Aquacel Foam Dressings feature a soft, absorbent foam pad, a contact layer, a waterproof/bacteria barrier, and can be purchased without or without (this product) an adhesive layer. This unique combination ensures not only comfort and simplicity but also provides the healing benefits of the Aquacel contact layer. The waterproof and bacteria barrier allows for the evaporation of excess moisture while preventing viral and bacterial penetration, making it possible for users to shower and have a bath without compromising the dressing's effectiveness.

The soft absorbent foam pad enhances user comfort by effectively absorbing excess fluid. The contact layer gels upon contact with wound exudate, maintaining a moist environment that is conducive to healing. This layer also locks in wound exudate, including harmful components, and utilises vertical wicking to prevent the lateral spread of fluid.
