This barrier protects both damaged and intact skin from the detrimental effects of moisture and irritants, as well as potential skin injury caused by the use of adhesive wound dressings or pouches. It is intended to be used as a primary barrier against bodily fluid irritation.
Medi Derma-S Barrier Film Aerosol provides long-lasting protection, a hydrophobic protective barrier (up to 72 hours) against moisture-related skin damage, and a non-sting formulation that protects both damaged and intact skin. It protects skin from exudates and adhesives, preventing damage and maceration. It also does not interfere with the adhesion of dressings, pouches, or adhesive devices.
Simply spray evenly over clean, dry skin, then wait 30 seconds for the film to dry. If applicable, apply the ostomy pouch, adhesive device, or dressing as usual. Reapply every 24-72 hours, or after each dressing/device change.
